The technician app: what the office sets up

The app shows technicians their visits, the work order and the work report, also without internet. At the office you decide what a work report needs and what the customer receives.

Step by step

  1. Give the technician an account

Invite the technician under Settings > Users, with the Technician role. After accepting, they link their device in the app and confirm it in the browser with two-factor authentication. See Logging in in the series for technicians.

  2. Set what a work report needs

Under Settings > Work reports you make the customer signature required, set a minimum number of photos for a breakdown and choose for which work order types the technician first fills in an LMRA. Per customer you can make an exception for the signature.

  3. Choose what the customer receives

On the same page you choose whether the work report goes to the customer as a PDF automatically after completion, in your branding and in the language of the contact on site. With office approval before sending, the work report waits until the office sends it.

  4. Prepare checklists

Under Settings > Forms you build checklists, LMRAs and inspections. A checklist belongs to an asset type. Publishing creates a new version, which the technician has in the app after the next synchronisation.

  5. Send visits to the app

Technicians only see visits that have been sent to the app, from yesterday up to two weeks ahead. You do this on the schedule board with Send to technician app.

  6. Manage the devices

Open a user under Settings > Users and choose Sessions and devices. You see which phones they are logged in with. If you revoke a device, the app wipes all data of your company from that phone.

Good to know

  • Technicians choose the language of the app themselves: Dutch, English or Turkish. If the customer reads another language, AI can translate the report; the technician or the office approves the translation.
  • With the permission to create a breakdown job on site in the app, which the Technician role has by default, technicians create their own work order for a breakdown that has none yet.
  • The app never shows cost prices. Materials from the van come off the stock of the van.
  • Checking out on site works in the Servaro invoicing mode, with Mollie or SumUp connected, and with the permission to check out on site.
