NEN 2654

Maintaining fire alarm and evacuation alarm systems to NEN 2654

For fire safety companies: the panel, the loops and zones and every detector as an asset with a QR label. The technician works through the protocol in the app and your customer receives the report.

What Servaro does

From quarterly check to repair

  • Inspection

    The NEN 2654 protocol

Based on NEN 2654-1 and NEN 2654-2, with sections for the logbook, the panel, loops and zones, detectors and the alarm. Servaro suggests it for a work order with a panel, loop or detector.

  • Interval

    Every quarter and every year

By default a check every quarter and a periodic inspection every year. The maintenance plan creates the work orders on time, per location.

  • Report

    A report for your customer

Once completed, Servaro issues the report as a PDF, in versions and with a signature. Your customer finds it in the customer portal.

  • Defects

    From fault to repair

With one click, a detector that does not work or a fault on the panel becomes a defect, with a priority, a deadline and who resolves it: you, the customer or a third party. From there you create a quote or a repair work order.

The protocol

What the technician works through

A photo is required for a fault on the panel or a detector that is obstructed. You record the lowest sound level of the alarm in dB(A), with 65 as the lower limit.

  • Logbook: present, earlier faults resolved, changes recorded
  • Panel: no faults, mains power, batteries, clock and alarm transmission
  • Loops and zones: loops tested, no faults, loop isolators and an up-to-date zone overview
  • Detectors: tested, unobstructed, manual call points and unchanged coverage
  • Alarm: audibility, sound level, voice message and fire controls
Default intervals in the NEN 2654 protocol
Check Default interval
Quarterly check Every 3 months
Periodic inspection Every 12 months

Default values for planning. If the standard, your risk assessment or the contract says otherwise, you adjust the maintenance plan.

QR labels

Every detector with its own history

Servaro produces the QR labels as a PDF for label sheets. The technician scans a detector and immediately sees the previous inspections, defects and photos, so at the next check they know what happened before.

Straight talk about inspections

Servaro records your own inspections and checks; it is not an inspection body. The protocols are a practical checklist in our own words and do not reproduce the text of the standard.
