NEN 3140 and SCIOS
Electrical inspections to NEN 3140, from measurement to report
For electrical contractors and inspection companies: an inspection per installation and distribution board, with a visual check, measurements and work equipment, and a report your customer finds in the customer portal.
What Servaro does
From inspection to repair, per installation
-
Inspection
The NEN 3140 protocol
Sections for preparation, visual inspection, measurements, work equipment and result. Every check point is OK, Deviation or Not assessed. For a work order with an installation or distribution board, Servaro suggests this protocol.
-
Interval
The next inspection on time
By default a periodic inspection every 60 months and a check every year. The maintenance plan creates the work orders on time.
-
Report
Signed report
Once completed, Servaro issues the report as a PDF, in versions. If the technician's certificate or a calibrated measuring instrument is missing, the report is not issued.
-
Defects
From deviation to repair
With one click, a deviation becomes a defect with a priority, a person responsible and a deadline. From there you create a quote or a repair work order, and after the repair you verify it.
The protocol
What the technician works through
A measurement shows its unit and limits while it is filled in. A photo is required for a deviation on a distribution board, cord or plug.
- Preparation: scope agreed, previous report, up-to-date drawings, safe working
- Visual inspection: boards closed and labelled, no damage or heat, cables protected
- Measurements: insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, earth electrode resistance and RCD
- Work equipment: cords and plugs, labels, rejected equipment set aside
- Result: findings discussed with the customer
| Check | Default interval |
|---|---|
| Periodic inspection | Every 60 months |
| Annual check | Every 12 months |
Default values for planning. If the standard, your risk assessment or the contract says otherwise, you adjust the maintenance plan.
SCIOS
Working under SCIOS certification
If you work to a SCIOS scope, copy the protocol and adapt it: clause numbers per question, your own check points and your own interval. If a second person has to review the report, turn on Only issue the report after review. Your customer then only receives the report after that review.
Straight talk about inspections
Servaro records your own inspections and checks; it is not an inspection body. The protocols are a practical checklist in our own words and do not reproduce the text of the standard.
