Scanning: labels, codes and items

One scanner for everything: a QR label opens the asset, a barcode puts the item on the work report. Scanning works without internet too.

Step by step

  1. Open the scanner

Tap Scan in My day or on the work order. When you scan from a visit, the app knows which work report it belongs to. Give the app access to the camera, or choose Enter by hand and type the code. In the dark, turn on the torch.

  2. Scan an asset or position

A Servaro label or an existing code from another system opens the asset. A label on a position opens the asset that is there now. From a visit, the asset is ticked off in the list as scanned: that is how you walk an inspection round.

  3. Scan an item

The barcode of an item shows the item, with the quantity per scan. Add to the work report puts it on your work report. If the item has a serial number, scan or type that first.

  4. Pair an unknown code

If the app does not know a code, it keeps it and tries again after the next synchronisation. If you have the permission, Pair with an asset links the code to an asset or position of the visit.

  5. Scan a serial number

On the screen of an asset choose Scan serial number. Scan the barcode on the rating plate or type the number. It goes along with the next synchronisation.

  6. Replace an asset

When an asset is on a fixed position, choose Replace. Scan the label and the serial number of the new asset, or skip them. The old asset goes out of use and the new one takes over the position, so the history of that place stays together.

Good to know

  • A label of another company opens nothing: the app only shows the code.
  • Record position (GPS) on the screen of an asset records where the asset is, also without a connection.
  • The app reads QR codes, DataMatrix and the common barcodes, such as EAN-13 and Code 128.
